MorterI am putting together a little woodworking shop, which I started around 2004, got out of it a bit, and am now adding some additional tools. I just do hobby work - no production work. I have done some metal machining in the past so have some experience with drill presses.I ordered this press after seeing it in Home Depot for years, reading reviews about different presses, and my experience with other Ridgid gear (jointer, planer). This one consistently had good marks overall with extra features typically not found in the price range (e.g. onboard light, speeds down to 300 RPM, and the lifetime warranty).[...]The unit went together per the instructions, but there were a few issues. The rods that the motor rides on for adjusting the belt tension were frozen. I had to use a 20" or so crescent wrench on the adjustment lever to get enough leverage to free the rods and get them to move.
